Entroncamento is a Portuguese city belonging to the district of Santarém, in the province of Ribatejo, a region of the Center and sub-region of the Middle Tejo, with about 20 000 inhabitants.

It is home to the second least extensive municipality in the country, with only 13.73 km² in area [6] and 20 206 inhabitants (2011), which corresponds to a demographic density of 1 471.7 inhabitants / km², subdivided into 2 parishes. The municipality is limited to the east by the municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha, to the south by the municipality of Golegã, and to the west and north by the municipality of Torres Novas.
In a pattern similar to that of locations associated with industries, the development of Entroncamento is closely associated with the Railways.
The town is seen as a "dormitory city", that is, it serves as a residential area, housing workers from Torres Novas, Tomar, and Lisbon. Since November 24, 2009, there has been a logistics terminal in the municipality operated by MSC - Terminal do Entroncamento, SA and which is part of the MSC - Mediterranean Shipping Company for Portugal, which has an area of 20 hectares of which 30,000 m2 are a container park, 1,100 m2 bonded warehouse, among others. The municipality expects it to help grow the local economy through the logistics terminal and the 150,000 m2 of land already prepared for the construction of logistics and industrial facilities.
It is possible to find marble processing companies, furniture manufacturing, civil locksmiths (tilting gates, stairs, metal structures), and the manufacture of fireplaces.
