Tancos is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha in the District of Santarém, with an area of 1.56 km² and 243 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 155.8 inhabitants / km².
Located in the parish of Praia do Ribatejo, the Tancos railroad stop, integrated into the Beira Baixa line, overlooks the castle of Almourol, serves the parishes of Tancos, and Carregueira.
To the source of the Tancos stream, the urban fabric of the town of Tancos is located in the adjacent parish, Praia do Ribatejo.
