Golegã is a Portuguese village in Ribatejo, belonging to the district of Santarém, with about 3 700 inhabitants, famous for the National Horse Fair, which takes place annually during the month of November.
It is the seat of a small municipality with 84.32 km² in area and 5 913 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 3 parishes. The municipality is limited to the northeast by the municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha, to the east and southeast by Chamusca, to the west by Santarém, and to the northwest by Torres Novas and Entroncamento.
